About the Department

Established in 2008 with an intake of 60, the Department of Management Studies, running the BBA Program has grown to an intake of 120 over the years.

The department is well-known for its competent, dedicated, and caring faculty members, as well as its energetic, intellectual, and disciplined students. The department is well-known for routinely producing good academic achievements with research and excelling in both co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

The department organizes National or International Conferences, Industrial Visits, Expert/Guest Lectures to cover subject beyond the curriculum, as well as activities to help the students develop their personalities and professional skills.

Welcome to the Department of Management Studies of Asansol Engineering College. We provide opportunity for UG students with BBA program with 120 students. The journey of the department started in the year of 2008. Over the years, we have grown our expertise to create a learning environment where management skills, leadership, knowledge and technology blend together. We want to bend your energy in the most effective and unique manner.

We have semester basis BBA program with specialization in three important areas: Marketing, Finance and Human Resource. Along with theory papers we have some Skill Enhancement Papers as well as Value Added Papers in the curriculum. The department always believes; give something extra inputs to our students apart from our regular course curriculum. We aspire to impart the knowledge through research papers, presenting research papers in various national and international conferences, publication of research papers with the guidance of the faculty members, case study with an underlying focus on the real world business practices. As per the industry needs we have Marketing Analytics, Business Intelligence, Financial Analytics, HR Analytics and Project Paper. To imbibe the values and ethics in the mind of our students, department has activity clubs like 4P Club. They get involved in activities of social relevance. Industrial consultancy is one of the big and prestigious Project for our department. The department imparts knowledge and learning environment to the students in such a manner so that they can adopt skills appropriate to the demands of the rapidly changing modern business environment.

Students’ engagement at college is our top most priority, so we have a unique team of eminent faculty members, industrialists and corporate professionals who are persistently engaged in disseminating knowledge and providing learning edge to our students. We encourage students to organize and participate in events such as business case study competition, advertisement competition, poster making competition, debate competition and many more. The systematize group project work make our department different from others. Our department follows the aim of this institution to inculcate human values and professional ethics in the students so that they can become independent decision makers and can fit in all types of socioeconomic conditions in near future.

PEO On completion of the Bachelor in Business Administration program our students should be able to:
